Team application

Join the team. Use this form to apply as an employee, an occasional worker, a volunteer, a board director for PlayHouse, or an officer or executive. It takes about 15 minutes. You will need a photo of your ID. You also need a proof of address, except volunteers.

The roles

• Employee: a paid, ongoing job with one of our group entities. You will also get a separate employment contract.
• Occasional worker: paid work for one job or event, or now and then. The work and the pay are agreed each time. There is no promise of regular work.
• Volunteer: you help without pay.
• Board director for PlayHouse: you would serve on the board of directors of PlayHouse, our non-profit.
• Officer or executive: a senior role, such as president, treasurer, secretary, CEO or executive director.

If you are under 18

You can apply for some roles. A parent or guardian must also give their name and email and tick the consent box. Board directors and officers must be 18 or older.

Working with children or other vulnerable people

A Vulnerable Sector Check is a police record check for people who work with children or other vulnerable people. If your role involves them, you must give us one before you start that work. You can attach it on this form if you already have one. If you do not have one yet, send the form anyway and we will tell you what to do. You cannot start work with children until we have checked it.

Agreements

Everyone signs the Confidentiality agreement. Volunteers and PlayHouse board directors also sign the Volunteer agreement. Occasional workers also sign the Occasional worker agreement. To sign, you type your full name and tick the box. We keep the date, time, your internet address and the exact version of the text. After we approve your application, we email you a PDF copy.

Privacy notice

Fantasticanta uses the information and documents on this form only to check your identity and address, to protect children and other vulnerable people, to decide on your application, and to run the team. They are stored privately on our own server in Canada. They are seen only by the people who need them, and they are never sold or shared for advertising. We keep them only as long as needed and as the law requires. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by writing to [email protected].
